Running Odoo Community in production involves far more than deploying a container. Email has to work reliably, both inbound and outbound. SSL certificates have to be provisioned and renewed. Access controls have to be configured properly. Custom modules have to be deployed without breaking upgrades. And when a new version arrives, someone has to manage the migration. Cloudient is an OCA member and specialises in Odoo Community edition, so we take responsibility for all of it.
All versions supported
We host all versions of Odoo Community. Whether you are running the latest release or maintaining an older one, we can provide a suitable environment.
Versions that are out of official support by Odoo S.A. or the OCA must either have access restrictions in place and not be publicly available, or have evidence of a security test. We can advise on the right approach for your situation.
Modules and customisation
We deploy Odoo using Odoo Community Backports (OCB), the community-maintained fork that incorporates fixes and improvements ahead of the official release cycle. OCA modules and custom modules are managed alongside the core codebase through version control, which keeps upgrades and rollbacks clean.
When modules are updated, we generate changelogs for each module, review warnings and errors against your databases, and provide a summary - so you know exactly what has changed before it reaches production.
If you are developing your own modules or working with an Odoo developer, we provide the hosting environment and handle the deployment pipeline. You push your code, we make sure it runs correctly in production.
Multiple environments
Production is only one part of a well-run Odoo deployment. We provide multiple related databases on the same infrastructure, each serving a distinct purpose:
- Preview
- An up-to-date snapshot of production for experimenting with live data without affecting it, or for final sign-off before enabling new functionality.
- Staging and UAT
- An anonymised dataset derived from production for verifying new development before it goes live.
- Development
- Isolated environments for developers to build and test modules.
- Service development
- For developing and testing hosted services within the production infrastructure.
This means changes are tested, validated and signed off before they reach your users. It also supports upgrade planning - a preview environment running the next version alongside your current production instance lets you verify the migration before committing to it.
Upgrades and migration
Version upgrades are one of the most demanding parts of running Odoo. We support OpenUpgrade migration paths, and we plan and carry out version upgrades with testing environments, data validation, and rollback capability.
Every Odoo instance runs on our own European infrastructure. Your data stays in Europe, and you keep full access to it - no vendor lock-in, fully auditable, exportable whenever you ask.
