What's my IP address?
Your IP address is:
216.73.216.223
What is an IP address?
An IP address is the unique number assigned to your internet connection. Every device that connects to the internet is given one by its internet service provider. It identifies where your traffic is coming from and allows servers to send responses back to you.
Think of it as your postal address on the internet. Just as a letter needs a return address, every request your computer makes to a website includes your IP address.
Why does it matter?
Your IP address is relevant in several situations:
- When setting up access restrictions on services we host for you โ we use your IP address to control who can reach the service
- When diagnosing connectivity issues โ knowing your IP helps us identify where a problem lies
- When configuring email or DNS โ some settings depend on knowing the IP addresses involved
Setting up access restrictions
If your hosted services are restricted by IP address, you will need to tell us the IP address of each location that requires access. Simply visit this page from each location and send us the address shown above.
Bear in mind that your IP address may change if your internet provider assigns addresses dynamically. If you lose access to a restricted service, revisit this page to check whether your address has changed and let us know the new one.
Using a VPN?
If you are connected through a VPN, the address shown above will be the VPN server's address rather than your actual location. For access restrictions to work correctly, you will either need to provide the VPN address, or connect without the VPN when accessing the restricted service.
